About Michele M Hunt

I was born and raised in sunny Southern California; I am married and have six wonderful adult children and seven beautiful grandchildren (so far). I enjoy being in the great outdoors, whether it's walking, camping, riding horses, gardening, making s'mores in the backyard firepit, or just relaxing and listening to nature...and I love spending time with my family. I am also a musician and play various instruments and I thoroughly enjoy the performing arts. In the community I serve on the Board of Directors for the Antelope Valley Ballet, and occasionally you can find me on stage at the Lancaster Performing Arts Theater, performing with them as a character artist. In my past I was a victim of domestic violence and have a heart for those so victimized, so I have served as a Director and an Advocate for Oshun Village Shelter, and as a Director with AV Saving Grace, a faith-based outreach group. For several years I served in a weekly hospital ministry through my former church, where would visit patients in local Skilled Nursing Facilities to bring them hope and peace, and let them know they are not forgotten. Currently I play in the handbell choir at Grace Chapel in Lancaster and absolutely love playing in our Christmas and Easter music programs. I have a military family and have a love for all things military. My father was a WWII veteran and devoted his life to aerospace; subsequently, I find myself at all the local airshows, enjoying the amazing men and women in our military. I began my real estate career in 1986 in the San Fernando Valley and have been a full-time Realtor ever since. In 1989 I moved to Palmdale and helped open a real estate office; as the manager we had approximately 55 agents and were the number 2 real estate firm within 9 months of opening. In 1996 I decided to go back to listing/selling real estate as a Broker Associate. I have successfully navigated through good and bad real estate markets; when the housing market bottomed out and homeowners were struggling to keep their homes, I made the choice to help and became fully versed as a short sale expert. I was able to successfully negotiate closings, counsel distressed homeowners and help them to either modify their existing loan and stay in their home, or exit their home with dignity and grace, without losing their home to foreclosure. It was a very difficult, but rewarding time in my long real estate career. I have attained the following real estate designations and certifications: GRI - Graduate of the Realtors' Institute, CRS - Certified Residential Specialist,e-PRO - E-Professional (technology marketing, etc) ,MRP - Military Relocation Professional, CHS - Certified HAFA Specialist, CDRS - Certified Default Resolution Specialist, CDPE - Certified Distressed Property Expert, SFR - Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource, C2EX - Committed 2 Excellence, AHWD - At Home With Diversity. I was voted Realtor of the Year by my peers twice, once in 1997 and again in 2018. I am very active in the Realtor Association and have served and chaired multiple committees on the local and State levels, including: MLS - Multiple Listing Service, Professional Standards Committee (enforcement of the Realtor Code of Ethics), LGR - Local Government Relations, Realtor Orientation, Membership, Special Events, Communications, and Scholarship. I served as a Director for the Palmdale Board of Realtors, the Palmdale Association of Realtors, and was a founding Director for the Greater Antelope Valley Association of Realtors. I enjoy setting goals with my clients and customers, and also with other Realtors. I also enjoy training agents to help them develop a business plan built on solid work ethics and proven techniques. I wake up every day excited to see what God has in store for me, and am never disappointed.
